The high flange hub shell is our own design. The high flanges allow for four identical and fairly large cartridge bearings. These large bearings would not have fit in a regular low flange design. We continue to use very high quality Japanese cartridge bearings. These cost us 5 to 10 times as much as the bearings in many other hubs.
