An extremely rare award with just 72 clasps awarded
who served in qualifying Arctic operations during the Second World War
the Air Force Medal was awarded to non-commissioned personnel
military and civilian who took part in the Berlin Airlift operation from 25th June 1948 to 6th October 1949 inclusive
The JOA includes Afghanistan and all neighbouring countries that have borders contiguous with Afghanistan where forces could assemble and from which ISAF may be supported
